Research: Life during the 1960's

Life during the 1960's was different for different people depending on their jobs. Some people were labourers working at the port and life was tough and they did hard work to get sufficient money to support themselves and their families.

Technology was still developing. TVs were in black and white and mobile phones were HUGE.

People lived harmoniously together. People of different races lived like a family and helped each other. There were stronger bonds between people.

As a whole, people were more gracious, helpful, caring and considerate. This was because the pace of life was steady and people did not rely much on technology.

  1. What were the different types of jobs in the past?
Who were able to afford the TVs? What kind of entertainment did the people from the 1960s have? Was it only the TV or was there more?
