The Singapore government in the past as well as present is trying very hard to retain our heritage. For now, they are trying to preserve old buildings to preserve while in the past they used to ban things such as fashion styles. The government in the past and presen are both trying to achieve a common goal and that is to preserve old customs and traditions even with the changes in countries surrounding our nation.

How has the fasion changed from then to now? Why has it changed? Who/what has influenced the mindsets of people to change their style of dressing?
ReplyDelete@ someone above: It has become less traditional and something more comfortable to wear, according to the weather of course. For example, Singapore is a tropical country so many people wear short and t-shirts. As mentioned above, it was mostly famous stars who used to influence the fashion in the past.
ReplyDeleteTo understand what I mean by famous stars, refer to the post: The Hippie Style. In it it is written about the Beatles.
